It’s that time of year again, no I’m not talking about Christmas, I’m talking about K-Pop Star. I know it’s been a while since season 4 started, but with the Top 10 decided a few nights ago I figured it’s time to talk about it.
***Warning: There will be spoilers***
We are finally at the end of the road. Usually I would have a good guess on who would win, but this season it could have either gone to Bernard Park or Sam Kim.
In this post, I’ll do a super short recap and then I’ll give you guys my final comments and opinions on the whole season. Read More
We’re down to our top 4 and going into the semi-final where only 3 contestants can make it through. I have to say, this episode was almost gosh darn a perfect episode. Before the episode started, the contestants visited JYP’s house where he fed them, dissed the other judges and gave them “special” teachers. As it was JYP week, he told them which singers to really listen to and learn from them.
Here we go!!!

Hey Guys! I’m a little behind on these posts, but hopefully by next week I’ll be back on track where I’ll only recap 1 episode. Anyways, enough about me, it’s finally the live broadcasts and boy did they deliver. I had some doubts about this season, but after watching these 2 episodes all those doubts washed away.
We’re back! Haha! We went on a brief vacation for spring break to get away from the freezing cold here in the Midwest, but we missed ya’ll so much that we decided to come back asap, lol.
I know the last post I did for K-Pop Star did cover episode 14, but I only covered half of it.
Alright! Let’s get started!!
Hey guys! Sorry for the super late update, I’ve just been super busy. No worries, I’m back with the Battle Auditions. If you aren’t familiar with the Battle Auditions, this is when the contestants take the things they learned at YG, JYP and Antenna and put it to the test. One person from each company compete against each other, first place is automatically placed in the Top 10 and last place is eliminated. Second place gets a second chance to compete for the rest of the 5 spots.
There are some disappointing performances but a few standout ones that balance everything out.
Alright guys, this is one of my favorite parts in K-Pop star: casting rounds! So, for those of you who are new to the show, casting rounds are when the judges pick 6 individuals/groups to take them back to their company and train them. Contestants originally perform and groups, and JYP, YG and YHY can decide whether to take the whole group or just take one person. With this being YHY’s first time, he makes some smart moves and interesting choices.
In this recap I’m going to give you some of my fave performances and then tell you who made it to the next round. Enjoy!
Hey guys, I’m back! This round of K-Pop Star featured the infamous group rounds which created Season 1’s SuPearls and Season 2’s Raccoon Boys. Although there weren’t a lot of standouts this year, I found that these groups really pushed individual singers into the spotlight.
Group rounds started in episode 6 and started with a group showcase. After the group showcase the real competition started and judges began to eliminate contestants. The show pinned two groups against each other and at least one person in the losing group was to be eliminated. Which by the way is the stupidest rule in world!
Here are my top performances in no particular order. Enjoy!
