Ah, Chuseok, definitely one of my favorite times of the year for k-pop. Especially, for variety shows. Last year (or was it earlier this year), KBS brought back Star Golden Bell. This Chuseok, KBS parodied one of its most loved show, National Singing Contest.

Idols auditioned and performed songs that entertained a panel of judges for some typical Chuseok prizes. I gotta say, this has to be one of my favorite Chuseok specials I’ve seen. I mean, look at this gif!

GIFS GALORE: GOT7’s “If You Do” MV

Q here and I am absolutely in LOVE with Got7’s new song, look, concept, just everything. I loved “Just Right”  too, but this song, man, is just freakin’ awesome! I thought that Lily M’s voice cameo (I think it’s her) fit the song so well. And is it just me, or do the Got7 boys look hotter when they’re heartbroken and angry? Someone needs to get me a fan right now cause it’s getting really hot right now on the late September evening.

While the music video was pretty cliche, everything just worked well together. The song, theme, colors, the boys’ facial expressions made it one of my favorite comebacks by them by far. Including Bam Bam’s hair flip.

Rant Time: EXO’s Tao (potentially?) Leaving the Group

And cue extreme sad face. If you haven’t heard yet, EXO member, Tao, could be potentially leaving the group after his father posted a heartfelt letter saying that he would like his son to leave the group after multiple injuries. A day or so later, his father was interviewed by Chinese media and told them that Tao had also agreed to leave.

Now, if you don’t know yet, I (Q) am a pretty big fan of EXO. Truth be told, I’m still recovering from Kris and Luhan and so with the rumors of Tao leaving, I was in shock but not really. I guess you could say I was a little prepared, but I wish that I wasn’t. Nevertheless, my love for EXO and my concern for Tao clashed so many times in my head that I had a migraine for a whole day.

I’m not going to lie, trainee survival shows are quite fun to watch. I know they’re cruel but I personally think that it’s a great way to start a fanbase.
